Liaison Group of UK Airport Consultative Committees
Since 1980, the Chairmen and Secretaries of the Consultative Committees of the larger Airports have met annually to share experience and to discuss matters of common interest. There are now twenty-three committees in this group.

Royal Aeronautical Society, Greener by Design
Greener by Design was formed in 1999 by the Royal Aeronautical Society and bodies representing airports, UK airlines and the aerospace industry, bringing together experts from every part of the aviation industry with Government bodies and research institutions. The initiative is sponsored by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and is supported by other bodies in the aviation sector but it is non-aligned, researching and advising independently of any interest.
Green Aviation aspires to support the aviation industry become fully sustainable. We fully recognize the wonderful and positive impact of aviation on our lives, but we also fully recognize that to continue to enjoy our freedom to fly we must all become more responsible, whilst still remembering and fully appreciating that humans need to fly!
